This post pertains to the original iteration of the application; any subsequent changes or updates to the app are unrelated to my involvement. Developed specifically for the EE BAFTA 2021 event, the application aimed to bring Liam Payne directly into the living rooms of customers using augmented reality with live capture from the BAFTAs.
Utilizing Unreal Engine, our team crafted an Augmented Reality application that empowered users to place designated content in specific locations for a limited duration.
My contributions to this project involved creating the foundational elements of the application, including the user interface (UI) and functionality. Notably, I played a key role in implementing a core feature of the AR application: users could place an augmented reality object, which would then undergo animation for a predetermined time. Upon completion, a finished screen offered the option to replay the animation or return to the home screen.
Additionally, I incorporated a news source within the application. Using Unreal's UMG editor, I designed a simple system enabling the population of a scrollable content container with real-time news updates, enhancing the overall user experience.
